St. Matthias Parish has merged with Queen of Angels Parish as of August 1, 2020 to form Queen of Apostles Parish to serve the Catholic community in Lincoln Square.

As of January 23, 2021, all regular parish worship has been united at a single worship site, Queen of Angels Church, 2330 W. Sunnyside. St. Matthias Church at 2310 W. Ainslie remains available for the use of St. Matthias School and is the site of occasional parish Masses and events such as funerals. The parish office is no longer located in the St. Matthias Rectory, but at a Parish Center located at 4412 N. Western.
